How to use this calculator
The printable calendar creates a month or year view for planning on screen or on paper. Choose the year, month where applicable, and the preferred first day of the week. Enable week numbers if they help with your planning system. You can add notes and use your browser’s print dialog to create paper copies or a PDF.
Check the layout in print preview before saving or printing. Paper size, orientation, browser scaling, and margins can affect how a calendar fits. Notes are useful for appointments and reminders, but the calendar does not import public holidays or connect to a scheduling account. Add the dates relevant to your own location and review them against the source of your plans.
Formula and calculation method
Month grid = leading weekday padding + dates 1 through the month’s actual day count. Year view repeats the month calculation for all 12 months.
Place dates under the right weekday
The first day of the selected month determines how many empty cells appear before day one. The selected week start changes that padding, while every date keeps its actual weekday. This is a layout choice: switching from Monday-first to Sunday-first rearranges columns but does not change the calendar dates themselves.
Use calendar years and week-years carefully
ISO week numbers follow an ISO week-year, which can differ from the ordinary calendar year near January and December. If you coordinate work by numbered weeks, check both the week and its year. A printable month still belongs to its selected calendar year even when one of its dates is labelled with a neighboring ISO week-year.
Worked examples
February in a leap year
Select February 2024. The month contains 29 dates, including Thursday, February 29. Selecting February 2023 produces 28 dates instead. You do not need to manually add leap day; the grid uses the Gregorian month length for the chosen year and rejects dates outside the supported range.
Change the first weekday
January 1, 2024 was a Monday. In a Monday-first grid it appears in the first column without leading weekday padding. In a Sunday-first grid there is one blank Sunday cell before it. Both layouts show the same dates, so choose the arrangement familiar to the people using the printout.
Create a yearly planning sheet
Choose year view and inspect all 12 months together. This works well for marking broad travel windows or project milestones. If notes or day boxes need more room, switch to month view and print the relevant months separately. Use print preview to confirm that browser scaling has not made the text too small.
Edge cases and practical checks
Printing and page boundaries
The browser controls the final printer settings. Check Letter or A4 paper, orientation, margins, scale, and any browser headers or footers before printing. A layout that looks correct on screen can paginate differently under another paper size. Save a PDF from print preview when you want to inspect the exact output before committing to paper.
Notes, holidays, and shared setups
There are no built-in holiday labels. Notes remain in memory unless you explicitly save them using the available local controls. Calendar setup links exclude private notes, so another person can open the same month and layout without receiving your annotations. Printing a page does include the visible information you choose to place on it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I print a whole year?
Yes. Select the year view, then use Print and review the browser’s preview. Choose a suitable paper size and scale before continuing. For detailed appointments, individual month pages generally offer more writing space than a compact yearly overview.
Can the week begin on Sunday?
Yes. Change the week-start setting to suit your preferred layout. This moves the columns and leading padding while preserving the correct weekday for each date. Confirm the column labels on a shared or printed calendar so everyone reads the layout consistently.
Are national holidays included?
No. The calendar does not assume a country, jurisdiction, or office holiday schedule. Add your own notes for the dates that apply. Observed holidays can differ from their nominal calendar dates, so verify any labels you add before distributing the calendar.
Are my notes saved automatically?
Notes remain in memory unless you explicitly save them using the local controls. They are not uploaded to an account. If the notes matter, save or print them before closing the page, and remember that browser storage can be cleared independently.
Why is an early January date in last year’s ISO week?
ISO week-years do not always begin on January 1. Dates near the year boundary can belong to the final ISO week of the previous week-year or the first week of the next. Read the week-year together with the week number when using that convention.
Can I save the calendar as a PDF?
Use your browser’s print dialog and choose its PDF destination where available. Inspect all preview pages, including notes and margins, before saving. PDF creation is handled locally by the browser’s printing workflow rather than an external calendar-export service.
